When it comes to servicing your Lexus, Toyota, Infiniti or Nissan, what’s different may be more important to you than what’s the same.
At T3 we use the very same top quality Lexus, Toyota, Infiniti and Nissan parts which carry the same warranty as the dealer, we use the same state-of-the-art equipment, and all work is performed by highly-trained, experienced technicians who service only Lexus, Toyota, Infiniti and Nissan. T3 is different, however, in some important ways:
Lower prices.
Our overhead is low. We aren’t paying for luxurious facilities and we don’t maintain an expensive image or a “free” loaner car fleet (however, if alternative transportation is needed, on all but the most minor services you will save much more than enough to rent your choice of vehicles from Enterprise for the day). The dealer must pass its high costs along in the form of higher prices. We pass our lower costs along in the form of substantially lower prices − not just a dollar or two but enough to make a meaningful contribution to a child’s college fund with what you save.
No commission or flat-rate hourly compensation.
Conflicts of interest are inherent in these customary methods of compensating service advisors and technicians and have contributed to the poor image suffered by the auto service industry in general. Since most people know little about the technical aspects of their vehicles yet depend on them completely, we believe it is best that the service advisor’s compensation not be linked to how much he or she actually “sells.” Nor do we feel that today’s technician should be compensated by the flat-rate hour (the flat-rate imputes a certain number of labor hours to specific jobs; i.e., a brake job may pay four hours of labor regardless of how long the job actually takes). This tends to reward speed over quality, rush diagnosis, and inhibit teamwork. T3 designs its compensation packages to promote your best interest as well as ours (in the long run) through customer loyalty and referrals.
Aftermarket alternatives.
Ordinarily the factory original parts that both T3 and the dealer use are best. However, we have determined that in a few cases less expensive and/or better performing parts are available. While we will never install an aftermarket part without your knowledge and consent, at T3 we can sometimes give you a choice. We also offer many aftermarket performance upgrades which aren’t available at the dealer.
Service is our sole business.
At T3 we are in the service business…period. We don’t have an interest in your trading in your vehicle for a newer model (and reselling your trade-in in the hot pre-owned market). We don’t have a separate profit center for parts. On occasion we can save you even more money by repairing or rebuilding parts which are routinely replaced by the dealer.
We can service your car even if it under the manufacturer’s warranty.
If your vehicle is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, by law you may have it serviced at T3 (or any other repair facility) without jeopardizing your warranty coverage. Although we proactively identify potential manufacturer’s warranty repair items, at this time only the dealer is authorized by the manufacturer (who is paying the bill) to make warranty repairs; and we will refer you to the dealer for warranty consideration.
